Penny's portfolio: American Style Dinner in LUCKYSTAR

We had a big dinner with Grade 12 students on Dec 29th. We ate American food at LUCKYSTAR. LUCKYSTAR is an American style restaurant. We chose this restaurant because the authentic American food and the price were not very expensive. LUCKSTAR is in JINLUN Building near the GOLDEN EAGLE on Hanzhong Road. We arrived at LUCKSTAR at 6 o’clock. Then, we had an American style dinner.

I ordered a fillet, a soup and a salad. They looked delicious. However, I felt salty when I ate steak. The waiter told me that the black pepper sauce here was saltier than common one. I put too much sauce on the steak. My fillet was too salty to eat. The feeling of salt was not good. I really do not like this kind of sauce. It’s different from Chinese sauce. The salad was the same as the Chinese one. It was better than fillet.

The restaurant was clean and silent. The decorations were elegant. The customers did not make any noise. The temperature was high. Most customers were officers and foreigners. The services were great. The manager came and talked with us about the America. She asked if we had a great dinner.

I recommend other people to eat at LUCKYSTAR. This restaurant has a good environment and service. It is a good chance to approach American culture. Different regions have different cultures. It is good to us to learn other countries’ culture. We really had a great dinner at LUCKYSTAR.
